How to airdry your hair

As the month warms up and we spend more and more time outdoors this is also the perfect time to allow your hair to recover from all of the heat styling tools used in Winter. While air-drying your hair might sound daunting, we put together a helpful guide on how you can air-dry your hair without worrying about the frizz and tangles.

Shampoo and Condition

Usually, frizziness happens when dry and oil-stripped hair is exposed to the air which can happen when even more when you are using a shampoo that might be too drying. If this sounds like you or if you find that your scalp seems to be itchy after a wash, then it might be best to switch over to something more nourishing like the BioSilk Hydrating Therapy Shampoo.
It contains maracuja oil and quinoa which together, help treat a dry scalp and encourage healthy hair growth and vitality. It also increases moisture into the hair and because it contains silk as well, your hair is left stronger and smoother!

After washing and rinsing out well, apply a light layer of the BioSilk Hydrating Therapy Conditioner through the lengths of the hair. This will not only soften the hair but makes it more manageable and reduces the risk of frizziness.
We love that this conditioner will help to calm, control and moisturize your hair with the combination of maracuja oil and moisture-retaining quinoa, leaving you with smoothness, softness and incredible shine.

Get out the knots
While your conditioner is still in your hair, use a comb-like the Balmain Golden Styling Comb to gently ease out any knots. We love that this comb is suitable for all hair types and that it reduces the risk of breakage.
After combing, rinse out the conditioner with lukewarm water and comb your hair again. Be very careful when combing wet hair as if you are not gentle enough (or use a comb with very fine teeth), you might end up breaking and damaging your strands.

Ditch the towel

Using a towel on wet hair is the fastest way to cause damage and breakage to your strands. Instead of grabbing a towel, reach for an old, soft t-shirt and gently press out the water from your hair. Be sure not to rub your hair as this can still cause split ends and breakage.

Add a leave-in treatment
Whether it be something simple like some argan or coconut oil, adding a leave-in treatment is non-negotiable. We recommend the CHI Luxury Black Seed Oil Leave-In Conditioner to revitalise, rejuvenate and soften the hair. This product will also minimize the risk of frizziness and helps to control flyaways.
It is a great detangler and works to strengthen the hair while repairing and preventing split ends. We love that it helps to reduce colour fading and leaves your hair looking and smelling luxurious!
